Gray Matters Alliance is pleased to announce that they have recently been approved to be a Brain Injury Waiver Provider for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), Contract# ERS23849576.
What is the BIW and Who Does it Cover?
The BIW program provides service coordination and home and community-based services to MO HealthNet recipients ages 21 to 65 who are living with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Individuals must require medical care equivalent to the level of care received in a nursing home, not be enrolled in another waiver, and have been diagnosed with a TBI.
What is GMA’s role?
Gray Matters Alliance offers remote supports through the GMA System which provides Assistive Technology/Remote Monitoring, allowing individuals with traumatic brain injuries to live more independently while keeping them safe in their environment. The system provides scheduling, reminders for their activities of daily living, medication management, therapeutic exercises, activity monitoring, educational tutorials, socialization and much more. Assistive Technology is just one of the many services that fall under this waiver, to see a full list of services, please follow link to DHSS.
GMA looks forward to working with the providers, agencies, and the individuals they serve!
